Alice's Mushrooms in Moonlight
Bisti Wilderness, New Mexico, 2014
Everything aligned well for a great night of shooting some of the surreal rock formations of the Bisti Wilderness. The sky was clear and mostly free of light pollution, a 3/4-full moon gave great light on the rocks, and the stars became increasingly brilliant as the moon set. I made this image about an hour before the moon slipped below the horizon. Photo © copyright by Greg Owens.
