Clearing Storm over the Wyoming Range
Lower Crow Creek Lake, Salt River Range, Wyoming, 2008
Spend enough time traversing mountains, and you're bound to run into storms. This thunderstorm was the fiercest I've ever experienced, so violent that we left the relative warmth and dryness of our tents to sit in this meadow in driving rain as lightning struck the ridgelines above us. The sun began to set as the storm moved east to the neighboring Wyoming Range. Photo © copyright by Greg Owens.
