Desert Waterfall and Creek
Colorado National Monument, Colorado, 2014
This huge waterfall is the result of heavy monsoonal rain and brilliant engineering by the builders of Rim Rock Drive, the 23-mile road that goes up, down, and around the canyons of the Colorado National Monument. Without such great work, the road would have washed away decades ago. Photo © copyright by Greg Owens.
