Fog and Light in Monument Canyon
Colorado National Monument, Colorado, 2014
Although the first light of the day didn't make it through thick eastern clouds to the rocks, I was treated to a far better show soon after sunrise as fog rolled into the canyon from the north. Over a period of half an hour, I watched as, one by one, the sandstone formations were shrouded and obscured by the creeping fog. Easily one of my favorite mornings of the year.
