Hallgr
R
Hallgrímskirkja, the magnificent church atop Skólavörðustígur overlooking the city of Reykjavik. Inside is an organ with 5275 pipes (comparison: the Salt Lake Tabernacle organ has more than twice as many), and outside is a statue of Leif Ericson, thought by many to have been the first European to explore North America. The statue was given by the United States to Iceland as part of the 1,000th birthday of Iceland's parliament. Photo © copyright by Greg Owens.
