John Moulton's Barn, Winter
Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, 2014
"Mormon Row" is a collection of homesteads that were originally settled in the 1890s by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. At one time, there were around 30 homesteads in the area just north of Antelope Flats Road. This barn, built by John Moulton, is one of two photogenic barns still standing. Most of the Antelope Flats Road is closed in winter because of windblown snow forming deep drifts over the road. Bring your Nordic skis or snowshoes, though, and with a little effort, you can have terrific views like this one all to yourself. Photo © copyright by Greg Owens.
