McWay Falls and Pampas Grass
Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, Big Sur, California
McWay Falls spills 80 feet to the beach below in this gorgeous cove along the Big Sur coast. The land that now comprises Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park was bequested to the state of California by Lathrop and Helen Brown, who dedicated the land to the memory of their friend, Julia Pfeiffer Burns. A few remains of the Browns' house can still be seen near this viewpoint. Can you imagine waking up every morning to such a view? Photo © copyright by Greg Owens.
