Meteors, Milky Way
Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness, New Mexico, 2015
The second meteor-shower sequence (here is the first sequence) I photographed in the Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness during the height of the Perseid meteor shower, same night/early morning as the first but later. By that time, Perseus had rotated far overhead and out of the frame, and while I got more meteors in the same total time (129 min), their orientations appear to be different (but aren't) from those in the first sequence even after star-reference-frame rotation. This is a composite of 34 frames. Photo © copyright by Greg Owens.
